Relaxation is key to streamlining our lives. Making time for entertainment is essential. When we are less stressed we can be more productive and better focused. Tonight kicks off my mini-vacations into the world of football. The NFL is having their season opener tonight. My heart will be there in the stadium when the Pittsburg Steelers and New England Patriots kick off at 8:30pm. But wait a minute, today is Thursday!! Which means tonight is Thursday!! With the millions of things I already have to do, going out to watch the game or having a small get together at home can be stressful. Considering the weekend is not quite here yet, we need to get things ready in way that is easy breezy and cost effective. (Not that I would want it any other way.) Kebabs are any easy way to score a touchdown with your guest. Kebabs are fast, easy, healthy and no recipe is required to assemble them.
Simply cut your meat into bite size chunks and then alternate them with your favorite bite size veggies on to skewers. I brush my kabobs with a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle a little seasoning. Then I grill them for a few minutes on my George Foreman grill or cook them in the oven. (Be sure to rotate the kebabs at least once part way through cooking.)
Kebabs are great because you can add as little or as much of what you like on the skewers. Sometimes my kebabs are all veggies. For an extra twist instead of using raw meats try using your favorite sausage in its place. It will save you even more time and less to clean up afterwards.
You can make a variety of kebabs and set them out on platter. Served them with drinks, some toasted garlic bread, and your favorite dipping sauce. Victory!!!
Less stress, very little mess, relaxation and fun on a Thursday night, that is what I would call a touchdown!!!!
