Taking a nap can be one of the most productive things that you can do for yourself. It’s not a new cure for lack of productivity. There a large companies like Google that encourage their employees to take naps. We all know that when we are tired it is harder to focus, we are not as efficient, and immune systems begin to weaken. Opening the door to a weakened immune system can lead to an entire host of other issues. In addition to that, when you are tired and unfocused it can take twice as long to carry out some task. Rather than half doing things for hours, it would be better to take a 20 minute nap and wake up refreshed and ready to take over the world. Infants tend to cry when they are sleepy, their brains are telling them it is nap time. Mistakes, lack of focus, and laggard attempts at projects are pretty clear indicators that adults need a nap. I tend to feel like I have to be productive every waking hour of the day. I have over time realized that putting in fully focused time to my projects saves me time in the end.
