Physical fitness is extremely important. Before working on getting fit, its important to work on our range of motion. Range of motion is the full range that your joints have the potential to move. For example, due to years of not stretching or injury some people may notice they have trouble bending over and touching their toes without bending their knees or extending their arms upwards without bending their elbows. My grandmother has been and avid gardener since I can remember. One day while sitting on my grandmother’s porch with a few people, someone complained about their knees and another about their hips. As we all know that one complaint leads to another complaint. My grandmother giggled and said, “Everything is working on me just fine.” Then she began to bend her knees to show off her range of motion. She is an example of how a little activity can be very beneficial. Try being a little more active today than you were yesterday. Something as little as stretching your arms above your head and reaching to touch your toes can make all of the difference. Try it out!! Trying being a little more active today than you were yesterday. Something as little as stretching your arms above your head and reaching down to touch your toes on regular basis can make all of the difference. Always consult your doctor before starting new regimen.
